Welcome to Scotland

We are currently unable to accept requests for bikes outside Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Due to the high demand for bikes, where possible, we try to prioritise those with the greatest level of need such as asylum seekers, those who are destitute, unaccompanied young people, and refugees who are not in employment and on low incomes.

We have a limited supply of free bikes. If you have the financial means to purchase a bicycle (we can advise) it would be very helpful to us and other refugees/asylum seekers if you were not to request a free bicycle at this time.

We are unable to provide bicycles directly to people supported within ‘shared’ accommodation such as hotels. Please do not request a bike if you live in a hotel. We are in discussions with shared accommodation providers to make arrangements for access to shared bike schemes.

Please complete our request a bike form if you are eligible for a bike. As well as providing you with a free bike we will also provide you with a free New Scots Welcome Pack containing a free bike helmet, lock and lights.

We can also help you to access cycling support if you do not feel confident cycling on Scottish roads and paths.
